The Universe must be tired of my "I don't know anything about makeup" spiel because more than my fair share of beauty projects has rained down upon me lately. Last month a few bloggers and I had the chance to meet makeup queen Charlotte Tilbury before her appearance at Nordstrom Downtown Seattle flagship store.
It's awe-inspiring to be in the presence of beauty royalty - yes, even for a chick who prides herself on wearing as little makeup as possible. Ms. Tilbury has over 20 years of experience in the runway and red carpet makeup artist game, counting Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendes among her muses.
We also got to sample the Goddess Skin Clay mask, which visibly hydrated my skin in minutes. It was actually kinda gross to see how dehydrated my other hand was! I've been using these cute samples of her K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipstick and the Colour Chameleon eye shadow pencil lately to up the drama in my lewks for special events and such. Charlotte was definitely charming, but what I appreciated most was her dedication to creating products that truly walk the walk. Her products work work work work work work, and they make me want to actually look up videos on how to wear them best. Ma, I'm growing up!
