Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wearing some green might take some more thought and effort, but you can bet that I've got some green in my system today thanks to my favorite green smoothie recipes!
Mmm post-workout sustenance
Out of all the habits I've formed since starting my fitness journey in late 2012, by far the easiest and most consistent one to stick to has been the green smoothie. I have one every day, most often for/as part of my breakfast. Sometimes I'll make another for a snack, or have one for dinner if I'm not feeling like a big meal. Green smoothies are the quickest way to get my nutrients in after a workout, and they're just downright yummy if you can find recipes that you like.
If you're looking for one you can get on-the-go, Whole Foods will have a few options for you (to buy or made in-store) while Evolution Fresh is a good choice and available at many Starbucks locations. In Seattle, Healeo, Juicebox, the Evolution Fresh stores, Assembly Hall & Chaco Canyon are other great options in the city! (Have any more to add? Leave me a comment below!)
