I spent one sunny Sunday afternoon last month sharing tea and beauty secrets with fellow Seattle bloggers. Hosted by Jenn of Hello Rigby, this afternoon tea master class session was a chance to familiarize ourselves with Burberry cosmetics and fresh beauty.
It's really intimidating to be in the presence of so much makeup knowledge, from the brand side as well as in the company of some really great beauty bloggers. I like to read about the beauty hauls of my fellow bloggers, but like I've said many times before, I am not one for a ton of makeup myself!
Did you know that Burberry has a flourishing cosmetics line? I didn't either, but after hearing from Adam and Shara of the Burberry counter at Nordstrom Seattle, it doesn't surprise me. Burberry is about that heritage, and its signatures (the trench coat, the plaid design, the unmistakable red) lend themselves nicely to hues found in the cosmetics line.
I was grateful to win the raffle gift basket and came home with all of these goodies! My favorites so far are the Burberry 'Fresh Glow' luminous fluid base, which gives you that perfect, dewy sheen for summer; the Rose Lip & Cheek Bloom; and the lip glosses of course (Burberry Kisses Lip Gloss & First Kiss Fresh Gloss Lip Balm.)
Fresh Jess is a fan of fresh beauty already (duh), and I can say enough good things about the Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream and the fresh Life eau de parfum, which are already staples in my beauty regimen. fresh's array of masks and creams are just divine; I was especially taken by the Crème Ancienne products, which were inspired by Marcus Aurelius himself! S/O Marcus Aurelius. If you haven't read Meditations yet, do it. My favorite thing in the fresh swag bag is the Sugar Sport Sunscreen Treatment SPF 30, which immediately went into my purse. Also, face masks for dayssss!
I just wanna shout out Four Seasons Seattle, who - true to form - went above and beyond in service, even if just for afternoon tea. They even sent us home with a box of Tea Forté, which was served at the event in the cutest little tea bags you ever did see!
