Nominate a Hero for a La Brea Bakery Thanksgiving Meal!
/Hello November! As we head into the season of giving thanks, I'm looking forward to spending these holidays with my family. While some businesses are turning Black Friday on its head by giving employees the day off, many others still have to work even on Thanksgiving day! La Brea Bakery wants to recognized your loved ones this season with their 'Nominate a Hero' Thanksgiving contest!
While you're planning out your Thanksgiving dishes this month, think of someone in your life who you know regularly works on Thanksgiving serving others. That could be a local firefighter, waiter, retail employee or someone else in the service industry. Nominate them to be one of La Brea Bakery's Thanksgiving Heroes, and they could get a fully catered meal delivered to them on Thanksgiving Day!
Submit an entry on La Brea Bakery's Facebook page (make sure you're on the Photo Contest tab) and create a submission that includes:
- Your first & last name;
- Your zip code;
- Your email address;
- 100 words or less telling about your family member that you're unable to share Thanksgiving dinner with;
- and at least one photo showing both you and your family member.
Submissions must be received by November 15th, 2015. Finalists will be announced on November 17th, 2015, and the public will then have a chance to vote for their favorites through November 20th, 2015.
Nothing is more sacred to me than family time, and Thanksgiving meal is an especially cherished time. Help recognize the sacrifices of your loved ones to make your community better!
