Summer 2016 Beauty Picks

Some stuff I've been toting around in my purse this summer:

Kari Gran Skincare is the best, and I'm not just saying that because Seattle all day. The line has just added the Three Sixty Five broad spectrum facial sunscreen to its offering, and it couldn't have come at a better time. A lot of people skip out on sunscreen on the face, but that's where we need it most, y'all! The number one thing you can do to prevent aging skin is to protect it! True to Kari Gran, Three Sixty Five is all-natural, so you don't have to worry about those toxic chemicals getting into your skin.

I also have Kari Gran's Lip Whips all over my life - in every bag I own, in the car, at the office, in every room in the house, etc. I just wanted to shout out the Wonder Whip, which is the Lip Whip that gives back. Half of all proceeds from Wonder Whips go to WonderWork, which provides free, life-changing surgeries to children and adults in more than 58 developing countries.

Soap & Paper Factory just launched a new Petite line of its soaps and hand creams, and I'm in love with the Jasmine and Green Tea! I can never have too much hand cream or soap to leave me smelling like a floral garden all day. Isn't the packaging beautiful? It's eco-friendly, too. I love the attention to detail the Soap & Paper Factory team puts into each of its products from start to finish.

As far as packaging is concerned, I seem to like my beauty products either totally minimal or bursting with color. I've been using Seattle-based Dr. Rogers' Restore Healing Balm, which is the perfect plant-based, petroleum and allergen-free alternative to something like Vaseline. You can use it to moisturize any dry, damaged, sensitive, postoperative or injured skin. So clutch for an all-over ashy cure!

What are some of your summer 2016 beauty faves?
