I'm not good at shopping for jewelry. I always get really overwhelmed by a counter or wall display full of baubles, and I can never seem to decide if a piece is worth adding to my totally random collection or not. Carefully edited and thoughtful collections put my jewelry-browsing eyes at ease; when I can understand and relate to the story behind the gems, I'm a lot more open to them. Faris' latest collection, NINETYSIX, is all of that and so much more.
The nostalgia of the nineties (1996 in particular) is the catalyst behind Faris' newest pieces. I'm a big fan of the clean lines, powerful shapes and simple, rarely embellished pieces in everything she's put out so far. In a world of way, way too many statement bib necklaces (y'all know which ones I'm talkin 'bout), Faris' eye on modern, almost understated accents are a true breath of fresh air.
