Staycation in Style at Four Seasons Seattle

I'm a firm believer in taking care of yourself, and when a long, faraway vacation just isn't in the cards for your busy schedule, a staycation can really do the trick. For my birthday, I wanted to do something special and fun with my boys here in the city. Where better to celebrate than at the Four Seasons Seattle?

I've been to the Four Seasons Seattle for spa treatments before, but this was our first time staying there. Let me tell you - the world-class service that the Four Seasons is know for is absolutely true. From the moment we set foot in the lobby until the time we left (and then came back because I'd forgotten my flowers :)), the attention to detail - our names, our preferences - was top-notch. They are truly unmatched in the service game for real.

Our room wasn't ready by check-in, and though our wait was less than five minutes, we were promptly served with champagne while we waited. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with wine and a little doggy care package for Spike. The spa welcomed us a bit later for a couples' massage - the perfect way to unwind from a long week and get in the right mind for the weekend. I highly recommend the Four Seasons Spa for their services - and the saunas you can enjoy in the mens' or women's rooms!

After a wonderful afternoon, it was time to play tourist. We almost never go to Pike Place Market despite living less than a mile from it. It's such a tourist hotspot that the traffic and busyness is often a deterrent. Staying at the Four Seasons can turn that all the way around, and after that massage we were ready for a stroll with Spike followed by a beautiful dinner at Matt's in the Market. When we got back from dinner, the Four Seasons team had another round of drinks waiting for us by the pool! How could we say no to cocktails by the pool right as the sun was setting? It was the perfect nightcap - to be promptly followed by a night swim and hang in the hot tub.

Pike Place Market is a beautiful place all the time, but when it's quiet in the morning, it's almost unrivaled in its beauty. We enjoyed coffee from the first Starbucks while on our morning walk with Spike, then brunch and flower shopping.

We really milked the last few hours of our stay before checkout! Got a workout in at the poolside gym before another turn in the infinity pool and hot tub. Did I mention the pool is heated? You're good for a swim all-year round!
