Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Launches November 15th

H&M's next designer collaboration is coming November 15th with Maison Martin Margiela. Fashion die-hards may have already seen leaked images of the pieces planned for this collaboration, but the lookbook below technically launches today.

This collaboration between H&M and MMM presents a re-issue of some of Maison Martin Margiela's most iconic pieces from past seasons. Each garment is specifically labeled with a unique tag that indicates the season from which its design originated. That means each piece you see in this collaboration draws from the over 23 years of Maison designs, with updated shapes and materials. How fun is that? It's like a time capsule you can wear.

As you'll see below, Maison Martin Margiela's signature creative expressions can be seen in: masculine shapes framing the female body; oversized sizing; traditional finishing and tailoring; transformation (new uses of typical objects) and the overall ambiguity of each piece. This collection is definitely a little more off-the-wall than normal, and I'm curious to see how it will do in the Seattle.

The collection will be available November 15th at 230 stores worldwide and online at hm.com. What do you think of it?

Far too progressive! Some pieces look good, but not really into the super baggy or the linear/futuristic looks.

I hope to snag a pair of the wedges! They look too cool. :) I hope one of our Seattle H&M gets them in!

I found your blog by searching H&M Maison Martin Margiela Seatle by the way. ^_^ I'm Steph, glad to have found another Seattleite blogger!
