When I go out, I want to have a good time and dance the night away. It's also a chance to observe one of my favorite art forms - DJing. I can't support some hack who randomly patches together songs on Serato, or even worse - his/her iTunes library. It's a waste of my ears and my time. I do appreciate good people with a talent for entertaining people with precise beat-matching, scratching and seamlessly mixing a diverse array of songs that keep the party going all night long.
I want to invite you to check out some of Seattle's finest, including TigerBeat, Four Color Zack & a special set by DJ Scene at this Thursday's RedBull 3style Challenge.
Red Bull Thre3Style is an innovative concept that gives highly skilled DJs a platform to battle, perform, gain notoriety and express themselves in a party atmosphere. Unlike other DJ battles that are based on more technical aspects, this is a creative and unique format that seeks to find the DJ that has best perfected the true art of “party rockin’.”
Seattle DJs Johnny Fever, Cide, Christyle, Josh Quest, Four Color Zack, TigerBeat, Bebop & Pryme will fight for the crowd & judges' favor with a 15 minute set of at least three different musical genres. A panel of music industry judges will select the winners based on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction.
