ignore the danity kane reject in the flyer and pay attention to the details. this is a denim warehouse sale based in california and featuring thousands of sample jeans from the showrooms of lots of major denim designers. don't go there looking for that pair of sevens or R&Rs you've been eyeing at mercer - shopping at the warehouse sale is kind of like shopping at nordstrom rack, you might hit the jackpot finding a ton of great pairs, or you might not see anything you like. last time they were here, i picked up awesome pairs of hudsons, habituals and antik. try to go on saturday if you're not too hungover from halloween :)

since i don't have the stress of consecutive events breathing down my neck at the moment, i've been able to foray back into the world of "do for self" - i.e. working out, cooking, reading, etc. i had my ass handed to me in ab lab last night but it felt awesome and it gave me the energy i've been missing sitting at my desk getting flabby for 10 hours a day, every day. i treated myself to a little shopping spree on amazon and picked up a few books to read this season. one of my new reads is by one of my favorite authors, chuck klosterman. who doesn't love sex, drugs & cocoa puffs? i read his flawless, sarcastic writing and think to myself, "how come i can't write like that? how come i can't be that clever when i write my stupid blogs?"
pipe dreams of being a sarcastic pop culture writer aside, i love his book IV and i'm only about 63 pages into it. so far i've learned that val kilmer is a weirdo with a massive ranch in new mexico, that chuck mastered the art of mixing sauces to go with his mcnugget diet, and that steve nash is pretty much everyone's favorite canadian. if you love pop culture and really enjoy making references to all things pop - chuck klosterman is your man
